While all other cards are considered worth their face value.
You might be thinking about a situation in which a player gets two cards which make a total of more than 9. In such cases the 10 is neglected. For instance, if a player gets two cards which make a total of 15, then it will be taken only as 5. In the game of baccarat, 6 to 8 decks of cards are used. After shuffling the cards, all cards are put in a box which is referred as a “shoe”. In baccarat, every player gets a chance to handle the shoe at least for once.
